The Simpsons Movie

The Simpsons MovieThe Simpsons Movie tells it like it is in the first five minutes. You’re a sucker if you pay for something you can see for free at home on TV.

The Simpsons Movie is not much longer than a couple of episodes and even has a nice “To Be Continued” about half way through about the time one episode would end and the next begin.

It’s funny for sure, a couple of the funniest Simpsons moments ever, but you saw them in the trailer; the rock and a hard place, the wanted poster.

Not a complete waste of time but it wasn’t really worth the 14.50 a ticket to see it.

Blades of Glory

In another note, a movie that doesn’t deserve a post of its own,
Blades of Glory. If you saw Talladega Nights and enjoyed it, Blades of Glory is for you.

There’s little more to say for it.

Seems I’ve been down on movies of late, but to be honest I think I’m a little jaded, it seems that Hollywood is producing stuff they think we’ll pay to see, using themes and effects that we’ll pay money to see, but not backing them up with actual plots.

  1. Alek and I saw the movie last week. We had a good laugh. It was funny how many people said “are you kidding??” when the to be continued came up on the screen.

  2. It wasn’t too bad, one of the guys at work already has a DVD quality rip of it. And I think we might have been one of the people going, “Are you kidding?” with the to be continued.
