With Sophie Ellis-Bextor.
You know what? I used to hate Sophie Ellis-Bextor. When “Murder on the Dancefloor” hit it was all they played on the radio and I hated it.
But the release of Ellis-Bextor’s second single from the album “Read My Lips” I was hooked. “Get Over You” was a funky track with an amazing video clip.
Sophie’s second album “Shoot From the Hip” didn’t do as well as her first outing, thought I can’t imagine why, it was great. Perhaps it was her less hectic press schedule due to the birth of her baby that affected the sales. But I really enjoyed the album.
For a third time now Sophie Ellis-Bextor has produced a great album in “Trip the Light Fantastic”, I LOVE it.
Not readily available here in Australia I originally received the album through nefearious means (thanks Bit Torrent) but yesterday became an honest man (as I often do) but purchasing the album from JB-HiFi.
The album is an import from the UK and contains two additonal tracks that we probably won’t get here when the album is finally released locally.
I’m not going to blather on too much about this album, I’ve crafted up a little taster seen below (if you have flash installed). Give it a listen and make up your own mind.
