What’s Happening in the White House?

Enjoy your “Democracy”, for his next Executive Order your President will waive your right to vote and make it so that if your name isn’t “Bush” you can not be President.

In America they now have the right to hold you indefinitely without charge, to hold you in a secret location without having to notify anyone where you are, or that they even have you, and as a civilian, if they choose to they can try you as military in a military court. Oh and torture is also back on the books… sure practically ALL of the new parts of the new law breech the Geneva Convention, but when you’re the ONLY superpower in the world and you have all the big bombs (well you used to, now that pesky North Korea is causing problems) you can do anything you want… even start a crappy war.

Starting to sound a but like a Dictatorship to me, only this Dic(k)tator has a lot of strings pulling on him, from the corporate world of America.

In other news, our moron (I mean Prime Minister) John Howard says that a withdrawal of our troops from Iraq will make us a prime target for Terrorism, as our defeat in Iraq will be a sign of our weakness and openness to Terror.

Ummm Mr Howard, I hate to say this out loud and make you seem a little silly, but the war was declare “over” some time ago, by your friend Mr Bush, remember he said we WON… we’re just there now assisting them on the road to forming their own democracy… If we’ve already said we WON how can we be defeated?

Oh and one more thing (I promise) have you noticed how the propaganda has begun about North Korea? The other day I saw a show about some guy who was held in North Korea and forced to mate with North Korean Females, twice a month. Then there is the action to force trade sanctions on them, attempting to cripple the country in order to make them give up their nuclear capabilities.

Now I’m not saying they should be allowed to have Nuclear weapons, but if the others are allowed to… why not? I mean right now, I’m more fearful that Bush and his happy-to-sign pen will bomb the crap out of everything before the North Koreans will.

  1. Of course I’d love to offer my opinion on this posting, but given my location, and my luck, I’m likely to wind up detained and tortured somewhere, and despite popular opinion, that really does nothing for me.

I will leave it at saying this: There are many many villages out there that are missing their idiots.

  2. Um, have to agree about the last bit. Funniest thing about North Korea using a Nuke was that the first countries to bitch about it were all the other countries in the world who are known to have nuclear weapons – and Australia, coz we are like a superpower – well we have a good friend who is!!

I too am not advocating for North Korea to have nuclear weapons.

Oh and you think we’ll have Bush forever? Well if it’s good for his mate Bush, I am sure Johnny can organise the abolition of elections too. They do have the balance of power everywhere!

  3. PS I am not too crushed about mercinaries such as David Hicks being locked up. Maybe something legally should have been done before now but he was the one off chasing adventure and being a Taliban soldier. Afgahn nationals though, they were just defending their country.

  4. Terrorism, what a great excuse to do whatever you bloody well want. The communists are no longer under the bed, now it is the terrorists who threaten us. We must always have an enemy, how else can the economy survive? Oh and of course, must silence the voices of descent… reminds me of a workplace psychopath.

  5. Hey Brother (Jillbri) I agree with your PS regarding Hicks being locked up, but… the idea that the US Goverment has changed their laws that will 1. allow them to continue to hold people without charge and 2. open the doors to use basic torture to protect the American people, scares me. We already have authority with too much power, all levels of authority are gaining more and more every day. And to be honest I don’t believe that humans are smart enought to manage the power they have.
I also object the the people like Douglas Wood (the business guy that was captured and held in Iraq) being freed at tax-payers’ expense only to come home and make a big dollar deals to “tell his story” tears and all.

The man was in Iraq to make money by taking advantage of the war-torn country we helped create. He knew the risks, he wasn’t there to help anyone but himself and we paid for that.

And SZ I agree, quite funny cause the orignial title for the post was “Reds in the White House” but I thought that was a little too telling and might get me into some trouble.

The Americans are in BIG trouble and while I’d be happy to sit back and say, you all made your bed now sleep in it… I know the same brand of sheets will head this way AND that is what I’m afraid of.
