Well, well the ABC have finally announced that the second season of the new Dr Who. It will start in July sometime… yay for all those who don’t know how to use BT. “Whatever” for those of us who do.
We are downloading episode 10 right now. And episode eight and nine were very good indeed. I especially LOVED the opening of episode eight, when Rose looks at the Dr, who looks at her (while caressing the TARDIS) and says, “I don’t know what’s wrong with her, a bit queasy, indigestion, like she didn’t want to land”. And Rose replies, “Well if you think there’s going to be trouble, we could always get back inside and go somewhere safe.” They then both burst out laughing.
Dr Who fans will get it… and I laughed throughout the whole episode off that one line, I still laugh thinking about it now.
I didn’t think I would, but I really like David Tennant as the new Dr… and I don’t think it would be the same without Billie Piper. They seem to have a real love twist going through the story line.
The constant mention of the “Torchwood Institute” lets us know that return of Captian Jack (John Barrowman) is not far away. To that I say a big YAY.
My all time favourite Dr is Tom Baker. Other than David Tennant and Billie Piper, my favourite team has been Dr (played by Sylvester McCoy) and Ace. Though I must confess, as blogs often call for us to do… I had a thing for Tarek when I was a youngling.
Dr Who ROCKS!
I was a bit hesitant about David Tennent in the beginning, but now I can’t imagine the show without him.
Same for Billy Piper, although she could ease up on the eyeliner. LOL!
We’re downloading as well. Race you!
Interesting episode… Minimalistic appearance by the Dr, but as always he’s ace.
As for Elton and his Ursula Paving stone who “even has a bit of a lovelife”… let me just say EWWWWW
LOL!
Who’s the girl that plays Ursula… what else has she been in… hmmm
ROFL Elton like the ELO, Scary

She also played Jude, one of the girlfriends in Bridget Jones, and was Gail in Trainspotting.
