I know they are a little bit country, and it’s really not my style (except for the whole Dolly Parton thing), but the Dixie Chicks kinda rock.
I think part of the appeal is because they are strong women, who don’t mind singing and saying what they think is right. And when they get called on it, they wear what is sent their way.
Having said that I also like songs which hit me emotionally, and I’m sure once I finish this list people will think I’m a little crazy, but here goes.

The idea that these girls got death threats for what they said about Bush’s War is insane. I want to live in a world where live and let live is the creed for all mankind. If everyone really thought this way and saw each other as equals it would be a much nicer place to live. There is too much fear in the world and the governments rely on just that to control their people. When will we all wake up to it?

And with X-3 why did Phoenix never become the Phoenix? Only referred to as Jean throughout the whole movie, what was with that! Overall disappointed with the movie, great effects but little else I think.
Re the camera (only 28 still a young’en) depends on how much money you’re looking to spend.
